From Local Producer to Global Player: Kormotech at the V Business Transformation Conference

Kormotech, a leading Ukrainian producer of cat and dog food and a globally recognized family-owned business, has been awarded a grant by the USAID Competitive Economy Program in Ukraine. This funding will enable the company to increase its dry pet food production in Ukraine by 22% and create 30 new jobs, contributing to the region's economic growth.

The past few years have seen remarkable growth in the Ukrainian pet food market, showcasing changes that exceeded analysts' expectations. In the first 10 months of 2024, the market grew by 9% in volume compared to last year, with Kormotech demonstrating an impressive 11% growth. 

In June, Kormotech, a second-generation family business entered the TOP-50 global pet food producers, ranking 49th in the 2023 list by renowned American industry publication Petfood Industry.

Kormotech has received a grant to install solar power stations at its factories. This project costs €450,000, with the European government covering 60% of the expenses. We aim to produce 15% of our energy needs from solar power at our factories in Lithuania and Ukraine by the end of 2027.
 

Kormotech, the animal welfare social initiative Save Pets of Ukraine, and the media organization Internews Ukraine have held the second edition of their journalism contest focused on responsible animal treatment. This annual media event aims to draw societal attention to crucial issues such as the humane treatment of animals, ecology, animal protection, and social responsibility.
