Reuters: Ukrainian companies are expanding their business abroad as the war affects their home market
Following russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Kormotech CEO Rostyslav Vovk realized that expanding pet food production outside of Ukraine is crucial to growth. Due to the contraction of the domestic market and an increase in the number of Ukrainians forced to emigrate, many domestic companies have turned to foreign markets.
Kormotech has expanded its sales to 39 countries and expects to increase exports from 22% in 2022 to 30% this year and to 60-70% by 2028, with 70% of sales in Ukraine. The company has invested in expanding production both in Ukraine and Lithuania.

The platform consists of three sections, the main one being a colorful album of photographs of pets. Users can quickly find a pet using filters by selecting their city and preferences, such as size, color, breed, and gender.
