Save Pets of Ukraine: an initiative to help pets at the war
In fourteen days, 260 pet care volunteers and animal shelters got help. More than 94 625 kg of pet food were sent to pets in trouble.
Pets are like children. They also need to be saved from Russian aggression's threats and catastrophic consequences in Ukraine. Kormotech has launched the Save Pets of Ukraine initiative, which focuses on the problems of pet owners, animal care volunteers, and shelters. These are food, medicine, logistics, etc. A specially created fund helps to solve them. The team is asking for financial and humanitarian assistance from abroad.
In fourteen days, 260 pet care volunteers and animal shelters got help. More than 94 625 kg of pet food were sent to pets in trouble.
The goods went to Kyiv, Irpyn, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro and Zhytomyr, and other cities and regions of Ukraine. The pet food has also been provided at the railway station in Lviv and sent to the border service at checkpoints.
The priority now is to support shelters and animal care volunteers and deliver humanitarian aid to dangerous points. Breeders and pet owners from regions where the situation is more stable are encouraged to buy pet food with delivery by Nova Poshta, the website of which updates the list of branches that continue to operate daily.
