Kormotech expands its presence in Romania – products now available at Fressnapf
The company has entered into a partnership with Fressnapf – Europe’s largest specialized pet retail chain, operating more than 30 stores in Romania and in 15 countries.
Fressnapf stores in Romania will offer wet and dry pet food from Kormotech’s brands: Optimeal – a super-premium food for cats and dogs; Club 4 Paws – a premium food brand; and Delickcious – a brand of wet treats. These are the first Fressnapf stores in Europe to feature Kormotech products.

Kormotech’s entry into the Fressnapf network in Romania was implemented in cooperation with Servicii Publice S.A., one of Romania’s leading importers of veterinary products with more than 30 years of local distribution experience.
Fressnapf has been operating in Romania since 2022 and plans to expand its network to more than 100 locations. According to insights shared by Fressnapf with the industry publication GlobalPETS, the majority of Romania’s population is open to becoming pet parents in the future. Data from FEDIAF show that every second household in Romania already owns a cat, making the country a European leader on this indicator, while 45% of households have at least one dog.
“In 2024, pet food sales grew by nearly 10% – reaching RON 4.97 billion ($1.1 billion),” Yurii Bykoriz adds. “According to analysts’ forecasts, the market will continue to demonstrate strong growth both in volume and value. Market dynamics and a well-developed culture of cat and dog care in Romania support our focus on this country. We see all the prerequisites for systematic growth – and for achieving our goal of entering the top three market players by 2028.”
In addition to Romania, Kormotech products will soon be available on the Fressnapf online store in Hungary, further strengthening the company’s digital presence in the European market.
