How is Kormotech Addressing the Workforce Shortage?

Modern businesses face numerous challenges, including workforce shortages caused by mobilization and war, high turnover rates in non-skilled positions, and a pressing need for specialized technical professionals. Despite these obstacles, Kormotech remains a vital enterprise for its region, one of the largest taxpayers, and a leader in its industry. This responsibility drives our commitment to ensuring stability and addressing workforce challenges as a priority.

The issue of workforce shortages became the focal point of discussions at the forum held in Lviv. Organized by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and the State Employment Service with support from USAID, the event provided a crucial platform for exchanging ideas and finding solutions to pressing labor market problems.

Our experience has shown that even under challenging conditions, Kormotech continues to move forward. Last year, we increased the capacity of our wet food production facility in Ukraine by 70%, creating 66 new jobs. 

One key solution to overcoming workforce challenges is collaboration with Vocational Education Centers. These partnerships allow us to provide employees with new skills, upgrade their qualifications, and prepare them for specialized roles. Additionally, we actively promote gender diversity by encouraging women to take on roles traditionally seen as "male-dominated," ensuring equal opportunities for all.

Moreover, planning new training courses tailored to current and future business needs enables us to address immediate workforce demands while preparing for the challenges ahead. This approach not only supports the recruitment of new specialists but also strengthens our team and consolidates our leadership position in the market. It ensures we remain adaptable to change while driving innovation in the industry.
