Save Pets of Ukraine — among the winners of “Charitable Ukraine – 2024: Charity in Defense of Ukraine”
Our social initiative, Save Pets of Ukraine (NGO "U-Hearts Ukraine"), has been recognized at the National Contest “Charitable Ukraine – 2024: Charity in Defense of Ukraine.”
In the category “Charity in the Field of Ecology and Environmental Protection,” the Save Pets of Ukraine team was awarded 2nd place, out of nearly 1,800 applications reviewed this year by the National Expert Council. In total, winners were selected in 25 categories.
This marks the second time our animal rescue initiative has been recognized in this national contest — and for us, it’s more than just an award. It’s a powerful reminder of the importance of our daily work.
“It’s often said that how we treat animals is a marker of a civilized society.
And if war is a test of humanity, then together we’ve passed it with flying colors,”
says Valeriia Volyk, Communications Manager of Save Pets of Ukraine.
This recognition belongs to a large community of caring people — those who support, rescue, and work every day to transform the culture of animal care in Ukraine.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who stands with us.
And we’ll continue to do what we do best — caring for those who need us most.
