“Santa’s Furry Helpers”: A Delickcious and U-Hearts Charity Flashmob for Pets in Shelters
This holiday season, Delickcious and U-Hearts brought warmth and care to pets in need.
Just before the winter holidays, Delickcious – a Ukrainian brand of pet treats – teamed up with the nonprofit U-Hearts to launch the charity initiative “Santa’s Furry Helpers.”
The goal? To bring a bit of warmth and love to cats and dogs evacuated from frontline areas and now living in shelters.
While people across the country were preparing gifts and waiting for a little seasonal magic, we invited Ukrainians to share that spirit with those who need it most – pets who have lost their homes.
From December 5 to 28, everyone could join an Instagram challenge: each story posted with the branded Delickcious holiday filter was turned into a treat for a shelter pet under U-Hearts’ care.
Together, pet parents and their furry friends posted 370 stories – and that meant 370 packs of treats. But we didn’t stop there.
Delickcious doubled the total and added another 1,000 packs from the brand – bringing the total to 1,740 treat packs for shelter cats and dogs in the Lviv, Kyiv, and Cherkasy regions. All of these shelters care for animals rescued from war-affected areas.
Thank you to everyone who took part.
Together, we made the holidays warmer, tastier, and more caring for our four-legged friends.
