Don’t Give Animals as Gifts – Give to Animals: a charitable initiative by Budynok Ihrashok, UAnimals, and CLUB 4 PAWS

In November, Budynok Ihrashok expanded its assortment with pet toys, continuing its «Everyone Plays» strategy – a belief that play has no limits. The launch of pet toys is a natural extension of this idea, reflecting how Ukrainians see their pets as full-fledged family members. This category has become the foundation of the new charitable initiative.

The issue the initiative highlights becomes especially visible during the holiday season: animals are often gifted impulsively, without understanding that they require daily care and attention. Since 2022, CLUB 4 PAWS has emphasized the importance of thoughtful decision-making when adopting a pet through its campaign «A Pet Is Not a Gift.» Even the best intentions can cause harm - when people are unprepared, pets are too often abandoned or end up in shelters.

«Don’t Give Animals as Gifts – Give to Animals» serves as a reminder: a pet is not a gift or a one-time gesture. At the same time, the campaign supports animals currently living in shelters.

Participation happens automatically with the purchase of any pet toy. The toys are available in Budynok Ihrashok stores and on bi.ua. The initiative will run until the end of 2025.
