Kormotech and Enzym Group Join the Rebuilding Efforts in Lviv: Memorandum Signed with the Lviv City Council
On October 28, Kormotech, Enzym Group, and IT Cluster signed a Memorandum with the Lviv City Council, joining the initiative to rebuild Lviv following a Russian attack.
With today's signing of the Memorandum, the companies officially announced the beginning of restoration work on the building located at 46 Konovaltsia Street. The damage included the roof, windows, and walls, and, tragically, two lives were lost as a result of the September 4 attack.
The project's funding was made possible by contributions from Kormotech and Enzym Group, which collectively provided 5 million UAH. IT Cluster added 1 million UAH, and tech companies within the association contributed an additional 3.5 million UAH, bringing the total amount raised for the building's restoration to 9.5 million UAH.
Anti-emergency measures will soon commence, and contractors will be selected to handle the direct reconstruction of the building.
A competition was held to select the project organization as part of the project, and anti-emergency work is set to begin shortly to prevent further damage. The next step is to announce a tender for choosing the general contractor for the restoration.
"We engage in numerous charitable and social projects, and supporting the community of Lviv and our country during the war is one of our key focuses. We've already provided funds for the Okhmatdyt Children's Hospital in Kyiv, and we're committed to doing the same in Lviv, as it is our home. As responsible corporate citizens, we want to contribute to victory and the reconstruction of our state," said Maria Stefanyshyn, Kormotech's Administrative Director.
"Even in the darkest times, we are used to taking action. Following the russian attack on Lviv on September 4, both family-run companies of the Vovk family joined the rebuilding efforts. The City Council called on responsible businesses to help. Within a few hours, we agreed to contribute 5 million UAH in an emergency meeting. Our designated site is the residential building at 46 Konovaltsia Street, which suffered significant damage. We will work jointly with the Lviv IT Cluster. Our plan includes thorough preparatory work, technical design, and expert analysis to assess the building's current state and promptly repair the damage," stated Andrii Tsehelik, CEO of Enzym Group.
The restoration project is part of the Lviv City Council's "Adopt a Building" initiative, which aims to involve Ukrainian and international businesses in restoring buildings damaged by attacks.
