Kormotech and U-Hearts Foundation Win Silver at Corporate Engagement Awards in London
Kormotech and the U-Hearts Foundation received Silver at the Corporate Engagement Awards 2026 for “Best Alignment of Brand Values Through a Sponsorship Activity.” The award recognizes their collaboration on Animals in War, a film anthology that tells the stories of animals affected by russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine and raises international awareness of their plight.
Organized by Communicate Magazine, part of Cravenhill Publishing, the Corporate Engagement Awards recognize outstanding corporate partnerships, sponsorships, and initiatives that demonstrate how organizations can turn their values into meaningful engagement. The awards bring together companies, brands, and organizations from different sectors to celebrate impactful collaborations and innovative approaches to corporate purpose.
The 2026 award recognizes the partnership between Kormotech and the U-Hearts Foundation in supporting Animals in War — an anthology of seven short films about animals living through russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The project captures stories that often remain outside the headlines: the suffering of animals caught in the war, the people who care for them, and the moments of resilience and hope that emerge even in the darkest circumstances.
Featuring actor and filmmaker Sean Penn, with a soundtrack by Imagine Dragons, the anthology premiered at the Tribeca Festival in New York. It brought together approximately 500 Ukrainian and international filmmakers, who worked on the project over two years. The film was created and produced by Ukrainian producer Oleg Kokhan.
The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to animal welfare and demonstrates how corporate partnerships can extend beyond traditional sponsorship to support a cause, reach international audiences, and encourage practical action.
The award ceremony took place in London, where Yuriy Tokarski, CEO of the U-Hearts Foundation, accepted the Silver award on behalf of the partnership. “We are honoured for U-Hearts received this award together with Kormotech. Animals in War has shown that a film can reach international audiences and also lead to concrete support. We hope this recognition will help more people learn about the situation of animals in Ukraine and about The Companions program,” said Yuriy Tokarski, CEO of the U-Hearts Foundation.
For Kormotech, the recognition reinforces a long-standing belief that love for animals makes the world a better place — even, and especially, in the darkest moments.
Through its partnership with the U-Hearts Foundation, Kormotech supports initiatives that bring animal welfare issues to wider international audiences and help turn awareness into tangible assistance. Animals in War is one example of how storytelling, creative collaboration, and shared values can draw attention to the needs of animals affected by war.
The Silver award at the Corporate Engagement Awards 2026 celebrates not only the film itself, but also the collective effort behind it and the importance of keeping the stories of Ukraine’s animals visible to the world.
