Kormotech Becomes the Main “Pawtner” of Corgi Race Vilnius

More than 120 corgis from seven countries, along with thousands of spectators, gathered in Vilnius for this year’s beloved Corgi Race, turning the Lithuanian capital into the happiest place for dog lovers.

Now in its fourth year, the event once again brought together corgi owners and fans for a weekend of competitions, laughter, and wagging tails.

Participants traveled from neighboring countries, including Germany and Finland, as well as from the United States, where two American corgi owners had recently made Vilnius their new home. Over the two-day event, teams of dogs and their owners competed in challenges that included a solo sprint, the “mightiest voice” barking contest, a puzzle game for quick thinkers, a costume parade, and group races.
As the main sponsor of the event, Kormotech proudly supported the celebration of community, joy, and the unique bond between people and pets. The company hosted the Kormotech Blue Zone, a space where visitors and their four-legged companions could recharge, enjoy snacks and refreshments, cool off in a pet pool, and participate in special activities, such as the “Best Nose” competition.

“You simply can’t help but adore corgis. We’re proud to be the main sponsor of this event because it brings together true dog lovers. It’s great to chat with owners, share experiences about pet nutrition and care. But even more wonderful is seeing the corgis themselves – this year, in the Blue Zone we created, not only the owners but also their pets could relax and enjoy themselves. What made us happiest was seeing people drop by our space and spend time with their four-legged friends,” said Andrii Bereziuk, Director of UAB Kormotech.

Corgis may be small, but they are impressively fast, capable of reaching speeds up to 40 km/h. Known for their expressive personalities, they are equally at home herding cattle as they are brightening family life on the couch.

This year’s costume parade stole the spotlight: a corgi named Amigo, dressed in a factory-inspired outfit, took first place. Other crowd favorites included corgis dressed as a princess, Batman, and even an airplane. Mango, a corgi from Vilnius competing for the first time, sped to victory in the solo race. Winners were rewarded with tasty prizes from Kormotech’s brands: Club 4 Paws, Optimeal, Delickcious, and My Love.
