Kormotech Hosts Delegation from Japan’s Ministry of Agriculture
Kormotech had the honor of hosting a delegation from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries of Japan, together with representatives of the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine and the Union of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs.
The delegation included government officials and top managers of leading Japanese companies who visited Ukraine to learn more about Ukrainian business and explore potential areas of cooperation.
During their visit to Kormotech’s headquarters and production facilities in Lviv, the guests observed how the company creates its products – from idea to finished pet food – and discussed the development of the Ukrainian pet food market, innovations in production, and the role of Ukrainian brands in shaping global trends.
The Japanese are about their pets – in the best sense of the word. In this, we are very much alike. Our shared love for animals truly connects us.
Japan’s pet care market was valued at €11.6 billion in 2024, with 38% attributed to pet food sales. Today, there are over 15.9 million pets in Japan – more than the country’s population of children under 15 (around 14 million).
We are sincerely grateful to Japan for its steadfast support of Ukraine during the full-scale war. This partnership is built on shared values – respect, resilience, and humanity.
