Kormotech Received Authorized Economic Operator Status – A Recognition Held by Only a Few Dozen Companies in Ukraine

Obtaining AEO status required a rigorous review of Kormotech's documentation and internal procedures. To qualify, the company had to meet stringent criteria, including:

• A history of compliance with customs and tax laws.
• An organized documentation system to monitor goods movement and customs obligations.
• Stable financial standing, ensuring fulfillment of financial commitments.
• Reliable control over logistics and security measures that protect goods from unauthorized access during transit and storage.
• Measures are in place to safeguard commercial and customs information from unauthorized access or leakage.

This status provides Kormotech with priority customs processing, speeding up its import and export activities.

“Receiving AEO status is a significant step for Kormotech in expanding our import-export capabilities. We can now offer our customers and partners even greater speed, flexibility, and service quality, strengthening our competitive edge in Ukraine and Central and Eastern Europe,” explained Oleh Kravets, Head of Kormotech’s Export Service.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers is considering updates to the “Electronic Border Queue” system, which may include a priority queue for AEO holders. Starting next year, companies with AEO status could experience significantly reduced wait times at border crossings and, in the future, benefit from dedicated lanes at checkpoints for smoother import and export processes, further optimizing logistics.
