“Spivprostir” Journalism Awards: Meet the 2025 Winners
The jury of the 2025 Spivprostir Journalism Awards has announced this year’s winners. The competition received 108 entries, with the highest number coming from journalists in the Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, and Sumy regions.
Now in its third year, the nationwide Spivprostir competition promotes humane attitudes toward animals and the environment. In 2025, it focused on supporting regional media. The contest is organized by U-Hearts, an NGO helping shelters and volunteers improve animal welfare. Its partners include Kormotech, a pet food manufacturer, and Internews Ukraine.
This year’s winners:
- Grand Prix – Valeria Skydan, URSA.MEDIA
- 1st Prize – Anzhela Korol, Hadyach.City
- 2nd Prize – Olha Tkach, URSA.MEDIA
- 3rd Prize – Yevheniia Bykova, Pershyi Kryvorizkyi
- Special Award – Kateryna Sinhur, Lvivska Manufaktura Novyn
Winners will receive monetary awards of ₴30,000, ₴25,000, ₴20,000, ₴15,000, and ₴10,000, respectively.
