Rostyslav Vovk at SUP Day Forum 2026: on the role of business, responsibility, and changes that shape future generations
On April 9, SUP Day Forum Kyiv 2026 took place in Kyiv, bringing together more than 350 entrepreneurs, business founders, and thought leaders.
During the discussion “What We Leave Behind: When an Entrepreneur Invests in the Country’s Future,” Kormotech Co-owner and CEO Rostyslav Vovk shared his perspective on how business can support education, foster responsible leadership, and help shape the country’s future.
“For us, the role of business goes far beyond creating a quality product. It is about shaping a culture in which people and animals coexist in harmony. We bring this to life through education, veterinary development, and support for adoption. Because the only way to change society’s attitude is through consistent action, not loud words,” said Rostyslav Vovk, CEO and co-owner of Kormotech.
According to him, the gap between education and the real needs of the market is especially visible in Ukraine today. And business can help close that gap through student internships, partnerships with universities, and participation in the development of modern academic programs.
At Kormotech, this has already become a systematic approach. Around 80% of the company’s paid internships lead to job offers, while its educational initiatives give students access to real business cases and help them move more quickly from theory to practice.
In particular, the Optimeal Expert school helps update curricula at профільні universities, improve learning conditions, and provide students with access to industry practitioners. The partnership with American University Kyiv, support for the launch of bachelor’s programs, and the campus in Dnipro all contribute to shaping a new generation of professionals who will build Ukraine’s economy. Another important area is leadership development: philanthropic support for the Ukrainian Leadership Academy is an investment in an environment where responsible, proactive young people can grow.
This is not about isolated initiatives. It is about a comprehensive system of long-term change. It includes investment in education, the development of veterinary expertise, support for adoption, and the promotion of a culture of responsible animal treatment.
Rostyslav Vovk believes that change is born at the intersection of education, business, and responsibility – change that can have a lasting impact on future generations.
