Interfax: Kormotech aims to reach a turnover of $150 million in 2023
Kormotech sold 50.2 thousand tons of products worth UAH 3.144 billion in Ukraine in 2022. Eduard Babenko, head of the Ukraine-East Asia strategic business direction of Kormotech, said in an interview with the Interfax-Ukraine agency.

"The first weeks of the war were the worst in my life," recalls Rostyslav Vovk. "On February 22, I flew from the USA with ideas and plans. In two days, they were all gone. The company had no free money - we invested everything in production. Instead, we had considerable credit obligations. Bankruptcy for us and unemployment for our 1,150 employees were very real. But we not only recovered but continued to grow. At the end of 2022, our turnover increased by 32% in money and 5% in tons."

Life.pravda: The number of animals increased by 60%: animal rights activists told how the war affected shelters
Due to the war, the number of dogs and cats in shelters has increased by an average of 60% since the beginning of 2022. Most animals that need help in war are pets abandoned by their owners during evacuation.
According to animal rights activists, the number of animals in shelters increased by 20-30% in the rear areas, 60% among animal volunteers from the frontline areas, and 100% in the sanctuaries near the battlefield.

NV.Life: Research: How war affected animal shelters in Ukraine
Save Pets of Ukraine created a database of shelters for dogs and cats and counted the number of animals needing help.
510 shelters, sterilization centers, and animal volunteers who take care of abandoned animals. 25,799 dogs and 19,473 cats are under the supervision of shelters and volunteers. These are data across Ukraine as of January 2023, recorded during the first census of animal shelters.
