Facty: Patron Pet Center will accommodate and care for pets from the disaster-stricken area in the Kherson region
Patron Pet Center, co-founded by Rostyslav Vovk, CEO of Kormotech, will take in evacuated dogs and cats from the Kherson region.
Despite the center's facilities not being fully completed, they are ready to assist the animals. Separate enclosures are provided for the animals, and dedicated spaces for active animals and pets with disabilities.
Those interested can adopt a homeless cat or dog after completing a questionnaire. The Patron Pet Center is located in a pavilion at the National Complex "Expocenter of Ukraine" (formerly VDNH).

Forbes: Explosion at the Kahovka Hydroelectric Power Station. How Ukrainian businesses are helping the victims of the man-made disaster
Ukrainian entrepreneurs and top managers have joined in the rescue and assistance of people and their four-legged companions affected by the flooding caused by the explosion at the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station.
Significant funds have already been allocated for humanitarian aid, including millions of hryvnias, millions of liters of drinking water, and thousands of liters of fuel for evacuation, as well as boats for rescue operations. Assistance is being provided for evacuation, accommodation, and feeding of people and their animals.
One of the first companies to respond was Kormotech. They provided 1500 kg of pet food, cages, carriers, snacks for dogs and cats, leashes, and evacuation backpacks to animal welfare volunteers.

This incident resulted in the flooding of surrounding towns and villages, necessitating the immediate evacuation of residents. Almost 16,000 people found themselves in the critical flood zone.
Animal welfare organizations in Ukraine are urging people not to leave their pets behind during evacuation due to the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station explosion. They guide where to seek help and how to assist.
Those willing to support the animals affected by the flooding in the Kherson region can participate in initiatives by animal welfare organizations, such as donating to the U-Hearts fund, which assists the Save Pets of Ukraine initiative in collecting international aid for Ukrainian animals.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the number of stray animals has increased by 40% in rear areas and up to 100% in frontline regions in 2022. Many animals that were previously outside the risk zone ended up in shelters: they were lost during the evacuation, left abandoned, or lost their owners, who perished due to the actions of the Russians.
Finding new homes for these four-pawed companions has become exceedingly challenging due to the excessive growth in the number of animals in shelters. That's why the brand CLUB 4 PAWS by Kormotech launched the international initiative "Adopt Pets of Ukraine" with the communication agency Postmen in 2022. In 2023, the industry rebranded and moved to a new digital platform, Look 4 Paws.
