GAZETA.UA: How shelters survive during a full-scale war
During the full-scale war, the number of pets in shelters and the care of pet volunteers increased rapidly. In particular, they have increased by 20-30% in the rear areas, by 60% - among pet volunteers, and by 100% or more - in shelters near the front areas.
This was revealed in a study by the public opinion research center "Sotsioinform" commissioned by the most prominent Ukrainian producer of cat and dog food, Kormotech. The company has been rescuing animals from war since 2014. In 2022, Kormotech founded the national initiative Save Pets of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian company Kormotech is the leader in the domestic food market for cats and dogs. They make dry and wet food at three factories in Ukraine and have their own production in Lithuania. Produces products under Optimeal, CLUB 4 PAWS, Hav, and Meow. The assortment includes more than 650 items. A total of 1,300 people are employed.
Rostyslav Vovk, CEO and co-owner of Kormotech told Gazeta.ua about how a local family company turned into a global one. Since 2007, Kormotech began actively working for export to conquer foreign markets. Currently, Kormotech presents products in 40 countries of the world.

The pet food market in Ukraine increased by 18.6% in monetary terms last year. Eduard Babenko, the head of the strategic business direction Ukraine - Southeast Asia of Kormotech, announced it during a speech at the Business Wisdom Summit in Kyiv.

Forbes: How a pet food producer was increased sales in the year of the Great War
The desire to continue expansion during the war forced Lviv Kormotech to break the effective organizational structure and reinvent marketing. It worked. During the war year, the Ukrainian pet food manufacturer Kormotech increased its turnover from $110 million to $124 million. The growth was helped by exports, which jumped by almost a quarter. It was an impressive result, especially considering that the company left the Belarus market, which accounted for up to 15% of foreign sales.

Interfax: Kormotech signs contract with leading European retailer Kaufland
The Ukrainian pet food manufacturer Kormotech (Lviv) signed a contract with the leading European retailer Kaufland, the company's press service informed the Interfax-Ukraine agency.
The products of Kormotech will soon be available in Kaufland hypermarkets in Bulgaria and Romania and later in Poland and Croatia. The first orders include wet food products under the MyLove and CLUB 4 PAWS brands.
