Espreso.tv: Volunteers save hundreds of animals from the flooded area in the Kherson region
Katerina Kovalyuk, the Reputation and CSR Manager at Kormotech, shared in an interview on Espresso how volunteers rescue animals from the flood zone.
Together with volunteers from Save Pets of Ukraine, they sent four missions of volunteers to the Kherson region on the first day of the tragedy.
They had previously developed special evacuation backpacks for people fleeing the war and their animals. The backpacks contained necessary items for both humans and their pets. Additionally, activists prepared a "Volunteer's Guide" with a zoopsychologist to help people understand the peculiarities of communicating with traumatized and frightened animals.

Facty: Patron Pet Center will accommodate and care for pets from the disaster-stricken area in the Kherson region
Patron Pet Center, co-founded by Rostyslav Vovk, CEO of Kormotech, will take in evacuated dogs and cats from the Kherson region.
Despite the center's facilities not being fully completed, they are ready to assist the animals. Separate enclosures are provided for the animals, and dedicated spaces for active animals and pets with disabilities.
Those interested can adopt a homeless cat or dog after completing a questionnaire. The Patron Pet Center is located in a pavilion at the National Complex "Expocenter of Ukraine" (formerly VDNH).

Forbes: Explosion at the Kahovka Hydroelectric Power Station. How Ukrainian businesses are helping the victims of the man-made disaster
Ukrainian entrepreneurs and top managers have joined in the rescue and assistance of people and their four-legged companions affected by the flooding caused by the explosion at the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station.
Significant funds have already been allocated for humanitarian aid, including millions of hryvnias, millions of liters of drinking water, and thousands of liters of fuel for evacuation, as well as boats for rescue operations. Assistance is being provided for evacuation, accommodation, and feeding of people and their animals.
One of the first companies to respond was Kormotech. They provided 1500 kg of pet food, cages, carriers, snacks for dogs and cats, leashes, and evacuation backpacks to animal welfare volunteers.

On the morning of June 6th, the Russian army detonated the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station. This incident resulted in the flooding of surrounding towns and villages, necessitating the immediate evacuation of residents. Many people are forced to leave their communities along with their four-legged companions.
Almost 16,000 people found themselves in the critical flood zone.
Animal welfare organizations in Ukraine are urging people not to leave their pets behind during evacuation due to the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station explosion. They guide where to seek help and how to assist.
Those willing to support the animals affected by the flooding in the Kherson region can participate in initiatives by animal welfare organizations, such as donating to the U-Hearts fund, which assists the Save Pets of Ukraine initiative in collecting international aid for Ukrainian animals.
